We have turned ECO-VEGANS

I guess some and you may have noticed that we have stopped offering eggs in baskets. Needless to say that the line of our project has always been based on respect for the earth and for that very reason, we ask ourselves: why do not you respect animals?

Since September, eco d’here  joined a movement fighting for the welfare of all animals, proclaiming a project 100% vegetarian (vegan), so that no food of animal origin will not be marketed: eggs, milk, cheese , yogurt, meat, fish, honey, etc.

This scientifically proven that it is possible to lead a vegetarian diet at all stages of life, then … why not?

Why an eco-vegan project?

Many reasons are that encourage us to transform ourselves into a project eco-vegan ; ethics, health, ecology, environment and welfare. We believe that being a company that focuses on organic food , we must be consistent and respectful of our convictions.

How is this achieved?

Respecting the land that feeds us, but also respecting the animals that live there, as they are part of the ecosystem. Today, mass animal husbandry and exploitation of its products, makes us live one unsustainable imbalance . Excess energy waste, materials consumption and air pollution is directly related to the consumption of animals. Also, treat animals as mere products rather than as living beings, makes us denature and we move away from our origins, forgetting that we ourselves are animals. Nor should we forget that flesh foods and their derivatives are not beneficial to health, giving us many problems, diseases and few nutritional benefits.

In conclusion, we therefore conclude that a vegetarian diet is the best option, the one that represents us as a company dedicated to maintaining the environment and to respect all life. Therefore, eating foods from organic farming and not include animals or their derivatives in our offers products is the most responsible and healthy to maintain healthy planet, ie how to care for nature. If we make a brief reflection on it and we get involved, we soon realize that taking care of the Earth, we also care for ourselves. And this is our responsibility .

¿QUÉ ES LA RESPONSARBOLIDAD?

Desde el principio de esta actividad nos ha preocupado el tema de las emisiones de Co2 y por ello hemos conseguido que nuestro Proyecto Eco d’Aquí se base en el fomento de los alimentos locales y próximos. No obtante damos muchas vueltas para poder recoger todos los productos y repartilrlos. Semalmente venimos emitiendo unos 470 kilos de Co2, lo que equivale a 175 litros de gasoil. Los vehiculos eléctricos de momento no tienen bastante autonomía.

Para compensar estas emisiones hemos sido pioneros en crear los “Bonos de Responsarbolidad Compartida” junto a la Fundación + Árboles. Este es el año internacional de los Bosques y es una gran oportunidad el poder ayudar a frenar la deforestación del sureste ibérico y compensar así nuestra deuda medioambiental.
Pero entendemos que esta responsarbolidad medioambiental ha de ser compartida y voluntaria. Los Bonos emitidos por la empresa agroforestal Maderas Nobles del Segura  cuestan 1€ y compensan el equivalente a 11,1 kg de Co2. Cada 30 tickets se plantará 1 árbol y 4 arbustos en la Sierra de Alcaraz, Albacete.
Los tickets los llevaremos en los repartos y quien quiera puede adquirirlos, de 1 en 1 o de 30 en 30, no hay límite!!! Estaría bien que fueramos un grupo de consumo ejemplar y que otros nos imiten en pro de un futuro algo menos calentito para nuestras generaciones venideras.
